Today I got a Sprint Mobile Broadband Card for the Laptop. They had 3 to pick from. I got the Novatel Wireless Merlin S720. So for I am impressed. I used it all day running up 1 gig of usage just today. I got the $59.99us plan with unlimited data and I plan on using it. Other years that I had been on the run I always got a Flying J Wi-Fi connection. I never could play Mechwarrior because of all the ports that needed to be opened and Flying J was not going to let me open their ports. lol Enter the Sprint card. Now I'm in control. I installed the software, it did an upgrade of the software and then the firmware after inserting the card. I clicked on the Connect icon and off it went first time. Surfing at ok speeds. I would say about 4 to 6 times faster than dailup. Not the same as my 5 bps cable line but I can't take it with me. This baby works at my home then it will work most places I travel. The Last real test was running Mechwarrior and without setting anything else it worked first time also. My cable pings are around 78 - 117 and the Sprint Wireless pings are running 250 - 450 for Mechwarrior. TeamSpeak worked good also. Right now just 1 day in I got to give Sprint a thumbs up on their wireless data system.
Here is a picture of the card. You just slide it into the slots on the side of the laptop and off you go just like on TV.
