Posted: Thu Aug 31, 2006 12:48 pm Post subject: Can you see the New Zone now that they have a New IP?
A friend of mine could not see the New Zone after it started working last night. He could see them before the server move. Come to find out that he like some others had the IP numbers for the old IP address and not the DNS location that will always point to mekmatch.mektek.net.
If you don't see the servers you can check yours by going to:
Start Menu
Run
Type in: regedit
click ok
Regedit opens.
In the left menu click the plus marks for:
HKEY_Current_User
Software
Microsoft
Microsoft Games
Click folder MechWarrior Mercenaries
Now look in the right Menu for ZoneServer.
Under the Data tab this should say: mekmatch.mektek.net
If you have an IP there and can not see the game server change it to the above by clicking on the ZoneSever words. A Window will pop up. Just enter the new infomation in it and click OK. Exit out of program and see if the servers pop back up.
This worked great for my friend who had the ip address numbers. Hope it helps someone else also.
